Week 2 Power Rankings

Week two was a week to forget with all the injuries that plagued the league. We saw the likes of CMC and Saquon Barkley go down, leaving many GCL managers to suffer.

And that was just the biggest injuries concerning our league. The NFL at large suffered a string of crushing injuries.

But the show must go on. And here in the GCL, some teams remained undefeated while others remained winless. To see the damage we dive straight into the rankings.. starting with as you already know...

Beer Bitch Spot: Tito's CFO's

The Chief Financial Officers saw their market value plummet even further with yet another loss.

The worst of which was that the CFO's decided starting Gronk was a good idea.

It was not... Gronk put up a fat Zero. Had the CFO's started Hayden Hurst.. they would have won and made statement against the reigning champs.

7) FX4 Gold Rush

The rush has found themselves back in familiar circumstances suffering a loss at the hands of Juju's Empire and thus stand just one spot from the beer bitch spot. A spot the rush know all too well. Hard to not envision the current nerves surfacing amongst the rush.

A loss at the hands of Tito's CFO's would surely place the Rush at the Beer Bitch Spot.

6) Kaptain America

America is in peril! America is not great again, not after another loss.

If America  were to fall to 0 and 3, serious changes would have to go in effect. Perhaps a change in leadership. But one thing America will never lose is hope. And it is with this hope of change.. this hope of new leadership looming...

...that America will look to win Week 3 and regain it's winning ways.

5) Rigo Suaves

The Suaves are riding that Ridley train!!

And they're happy for it. Ridley alone has kept the Suaves season afloat.  But how long will it last? They have Challenged the mighty America to a better record... well they better hope Ridley keeps his streak alive otherwise the suaves may be in trouble. Unless Lamar can deliver.

4) Dude Where's my Carr?

They're may be some car trouble over there with dude.

The wheel have seemingly fallen off after the devastating news of Saquon Barkley's torn ACL.

Truly saddening, but  Dude will look to get back in the right direction against America.

3) Juju's Empire

The Empire pillaged and ransacked the rush in week 2

oh fuck down goes Erik... but now the empire is stronger than ever!

But will the Empire be able to sustain such success? Even against the Beards? That will be the question of the week.

2) Engineer Beards

The Beards remain undefeated!

A supreme showing from Jones and Allen have the Beards victorious for yet another weak. But now Juju's Empire awaits. Will the Beards remain victorious?

1) Porky's Prime Cuts

Porky survived and advanced to yet another win and keeps them still in the number one spot.

But it did not come without a cost. CMC has been injured and now the Porky's looked under manned, especially if Kittle cannot suit up for week 3.

Will Porky's Prime Cuts remain up to their prime standard? Especially with the Suaves waiting??

Tune in for next weeks rankings to know the answer to this and all the questions looming in week 3 of the Gold Coast League.

Genius Move of the Week:

Engineer Beards for starting Aaron Jones and Josh Allen who outscored any RB QB duo in the league with over 160 points.

Bitch Move of the Week:

Tito's CFO's for starting Gronk over Hurst when Gronk provided a goose egg while Hurst scored 20 plus and would have given the CFO's their first win of the season.

Week 1 Power Rankings

And with yet another Cowboy loss on Sunday night, Week 1 in the NFL came to an end. But what can you expect? Boys will be boys.. but they are never dem boys.

Some things never change... but it's 2020 and changes are looming at every corner. The Gold Coast League is no exception.

By the results of week 1, America foresees an ever shifting rankings. Week 1 alone saw quite the shake up...

Starting with the Beer Bitch Spot:

8) Tito's CFO's

Not exactly sure what the CFO stands for...

but I would suggest it stand for Change your fucking Outlook... because Tito very well knows where a string of early losses can lead. ...

Beerbitchville!!

Turn it up Tom Brady.

7) Rigo Suaves

The Suaves had nothing to act slick about week 1.

With the exception of Calvin Ridley, the suave squad was rather ungraceful, many players only racking in single digit fantasy numbers. Single... yes, single digits.

Single digits will not cut it if they intend to pursue a playoff spot.

6) FX4 Gold Rush

Despite a loss, the rush has found itself in one of it's highest spots in recent memory.

How, right? It's a fantasy football miracle.

But the rush may need to have some more faith in his 49er players if he wishes to further move up in the rankings.

5) Kaptain America

America is yet to reclaim it's greatness. Week 1 began the way last season ended, a loss at the hands of Porky's prime Cuts. It was Monday Night nail biter.

But in the end. America was not glorious. They will take this time to reflect and recoup.

4) Juju's Empire

The Empire is upon us! Their reign has commenced!!

After the narrowest of victories

Juju and his empire will look to expand their empire agains the likes of Dude Where's my Carr?

Will Kamara and company have what it takes??

3) Dude Where's my Carr?

Brand new whip, whats popping??

The dude's handled business week 1, easily defeating the suaves. Mr. Unnnnnnlimited had an unlimited amount of points, and it looks like they cannot be stopped.

2) Engineering Beards

Fear the beard!!

The beards had WR's in spades as both Hopkins and Adams surpassed 100 yards receiving.

They are truly to be feared.. unless America has something to say about it.....

1) Porky's Prime Cuts

No surprises here. Porky's returned in prime form... defending their championship with  a week 1 win.
The cuts premium as always...

McCaffrey was up to his usual self, but it was a late Monday night TD by non other than Melvin Gordon that gave Porky's the victory.

Week 2 will set its own challenges for Porky's as they face off against Tito CFO's... but for now they can celebrate.

Bitch Move of the Week:

FX4 Gold Rush for Starting Mark Ingram instead of the stud Raheem Mostert, which would have given him the win against Juju's Empire.

Genius Move of the Week:

Engineering Beards for putting out the lineup that scored the most amount of points with 285 points.

Gold Coast's 2020 PreSeason Rankings!!

It appeared it would not get here.

2020:

Kobe Bryant.  Covid19.  Quarantine. George Floyd. Riots. California burning...

It's been an arduous journey.

But today, a faint glimmer cuts through the darkness,  showering us with the hope of a new Gold Coast season.

Football is back!!

Football is here gentlemen, despite all the chaos and turmoil. It is here...

But before we go any further i think it important to share the following:

Now with that out of the way and after a successful draft this past Saturday, eight teams are ready to embark on what will be the Gold Coast's twelfth season.

And thus, to commence this twelfth season, a post draft rankings is in order.

8) FX4 Gold Rush

Last year's beer bitch looks too continue his beer bitch ways drafting an uninspiring team. If Dalvin Cook does not hold out, and if Nick Chubb does not lose too many touches to Kareem Hunt, then maybe..... just maybe....

they may work their way out of the infamous beer bitch spot.

Also PS. expect the return of the Beer Bitch shirt next draft.

7) BonTito Freak

The freaks were not too far away from the beer bitch spot last season and will have their work cut out for them if they wish not to wear the beer bitch shirt next season.

Zeke and the cheetah will have to play stellar football if they wish to have a winning season.

 6) Juju's Republic

Juju's Republic had a good draft.. scooping up Kamara with the 9th pick overall.

Will the republic rule the Gold Coast this season? Josh Jacobs will have a lot to say about the matter.

5)  Kaptain America

After falling just short of another title, America will have to pick up the shattered pieces and prove why America will be great again. But this time America will have to rely on many newcomers like CEH, and Miles Sanders if they wish to reclaim the throne.

4) Rigo Suave

The suaves had a suave draft, picking up last years reigning MVP in Lamar Jackson, and the number one receiver Michael Thomas. An astounding duo.

3) Engineering Champions

The Engineers may have just engineered another championship squad after securing the likes of Devante Adams and Deandre Hopkins.

 2) Dude Where's my Carr?

No Derek Carr here, but the dudes had a great draft picking up Mr. Unnnnnnnliiiiiimited and Saquon Barkley. Porky's Prime Cuts may have a worthy adversary in Dude.

Will his wins be unlimited?? We shall see.

**Drumroll**

1) Porky's Prime Cuts

No surprises here.. after a great championship run.. Porky's Prime Cut followed with  masterful draft by picking up Cmac.. and the people tight end George Kittle. Not to mention Patrick Mahomes. It will be no easy feat to face Porky this season.

And thus concludes our post draft rankings.

Good luck everyone and dont forget to set your lineups!!
