Week two was a week to forget with all the injuries that plagued the league. We saw the likes of CMC and Saquon Barkley go down, leaving many GCL managers to suffer.
And that was just the biggest injuries concerning our league. The NFL at large suffered a string of crushing injuries.
But the show must go on. And here in the GCL, some teams remained undefeated while others remained winless. To see the damage we dive straight into the rankings.. starting with as you already know...
Beer Bitch Spot: Tito's CFO's
The Chief Financial Officers saw their market value plummet even further with yet another loss.
The worst of which was that the CFO's decided starting Gronk was a good idea.
It was not... Gronk put up a fat Zero. Had the CFO's started Hayden Hurst.. they would have won and made statement against the reigning champs.
7) FX4 Gold Rush
The rush has found themselves back in familiar circumstances suffering a loss at the hands of Juju's Empire and thus stand just one spot from the beer bitch spot. A spot the rush know all too well. Hard to not envision the current nerves surfacing amongst the rush.
A loss at the hands of Tito's CFO's would surely place the Rush at the Beer Bitch Spot.
6) Kaptain America
America is in peril! America is not great again, not after another loss.
If America were to fall to 0 and 3, serious changes would have to go in effect. Perhaps a change in leadership. But one thing America will never lose is hope. And it is with this hope of change.. this hope of new leadership looming...
...that America will look to win Week 3 and regain it's winning ways.
5) Rigo Suaves
The Suaves are riding that Ridley train!!
And they're happy for it. Ridley alone has kept the Suaves season afloat. But how long will it last? They have Challenged the mighty America to a better record... well they better hope Ridley keeps his streak alive otherwise the suaves may be in trouble. Unless Lamar can deliver.
4) Dude Where's my Carr?
They're may be some car trouble over there with dude.
The wheel have seemingly fallen off after the devastating news of Saquon Barkley's torn ACL.
Truly saddening, but Dude will look to get back in the right direction against America.
3) Juju's Empire
The Empire pillaged and ransacked the rush in week 2
oh fuck down goes Erik... but now the empire is stronger than ever!
But will the Empire be able to sustain such success? Even against the Beards? That will be the question of the week.
2) Engineer Beards
The Beards remain undefeated!
A supreme showing from Jones and Allen have the Beards victorious for yet another weak. But now Juju's Empire awaits. Will the Beards remain victorious?
1) Porky's Prime Cuts
Porky survived and advanced to yet another win and keeps them still in the number one spot.
But it did not come without a cost. CMC has been injured and now the Porky's looked under manned, especially if Kittle cannot suit up for week 3.
Will Porky's Prime Cuts remain up to their prime standard? Especially with the Suaves waiting??
Tune in for next weeks rankings to know the answer to this and all the questions looming in week 3 of the Gold Coast League.
Genius Move of the Week:
Engineer Beards for starting Aaron Jones and Josh Allen who outscored any RB QB duo in the league with over 160 points.
Bitch Move of the Week:
Tito's CFO's for starting Gronk over Hurst when Gronk provided a goose egg while Hurst scored 20 plus and would have given the CFO's their first win of the season.
